What you should feel?? When performed correctly, you will feel your core/ abdominal region supporting your body. If you lose the feeling in your abdominal/ trunk region, then it is most likely time to stop.

Instructions:

  • Start by performing the plank on your toes with your elbows on the ground
  • Ensuring your body is in a straight line and stable, contract your abdominals to maintain a flat torso
  • Focus on preventing the lower back from arching by contracting your abdominals
  • Continue holding for the agreed amount of time

  • Core
  • Abs

Main benefits:

A plank is a basic exercise for core stability. It has many applications but the most common one is to increase stability and activation of the core and trunk muscles.
