Wrist flexion (Isometric hold)

What you should feel?? When performed correctly, you will feel the muscles in your wrist and forearm working. These muscles tend to burn a lot when fatigued which is a good sign they are working.


  • Place your arm on the edge of a table with your wrist hanging over the edge
  • Flex your wrist up and hold the contraction for an agreed amount of time and tension
  • Prevent your hand from twisting and continue holding keeping your forearm stable
  • You will start to feel the muscles of the forearm burn if you are doing it correctly
  • Continue for the agreed amount of time and sets
