At Holistic Physio Fitness our staff are highly trained professionals. Our practitioners are multi qualified including Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Personal Training, Radiation licensed DEXA technicians, Sports Trainers, Dry Needling. They are involved in teaching at Universities and in house training sessions for other professionals.

Andrew Sumner
Andrew is a Physiotherapist with a diverse set of skills in Health and Wellness. Andrews core belief is that “Prevention is always better than cure”. This is why Andrews approach to Physiotherapy has always been to not only fix the problem, but to fix it FOR GOOD! Whether it be for acute or chronic injury, Andrew involves and educates the patient so that the rehabilitation process is as quick and effective as can be. Andrew is the coordinator of Holistic Physio Fitness and all its subsets, and provides an environment for the patient that is comfortable and most importantly effective. Andrew continues to build and grow the offerings of Holistic physio Fitness, to ensure that the service is improved every year into the future, including improving services and also the facilities. Andrew specialises in the training of injured people (acute, chronic and post operative), and getting desired results whilst rehabilitating the injury as completely as possible.

Andrew has been a sessional Lecturer at ACU National Sydney. He continues to be involved in community projects and is passionate about health and wellness programs for all ages.
Craig Wakefield
Craig has always had a keen interest in all aspects of sports and health. He played semi-professional football for Sydney Olympic FC in the NSW Premier League. Craigs approach to Physiotherapy is very hands-on. He believes that in order to rehabilitate an injury, there must be a strong focus on manual therapy backed up by a specific and tailored exercise regime. In his time off Craig is training hard in the gym or at the track so that he can lead by example. Craig believes that health is a life long commitment and not just a fad. Ryan Welsh
Ryans experience in both the Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology realm has created a solid platform for injury rehabilitation. He graduated from a Masters of Physiotherapy degree in 2008 following completion of a Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Management. He has worked in private practice for over eight years, in conjunction with physiotherapy work within the hospital sector and extensive work for sporting teams in both Rugby Union and Basketball. This varied physiotherapy experience supplemented by a background in exercise physiology has enabled him to develop highly proficient skills in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal and sports injuries. Special interest areas include the treatment of overuse sporting injuries, longstanding pelvic and groin pain, recurrent hamstring strains, and post-operative rehabilitation.
Ryan’s treatment philosophy is based on sound patient education, skilled manual therapy, and rehabilitative exercise prescription aimed to minimise future recurrence of pain and disability. Ryan additionally teaches clinical Pilates, is a strength and conditioning specialist, and has a personal history in representative Rugby League, Touch Football, and Athletics
Patrick Hughes
Patrick loves sports and being active, he currently plays football, baseball, basketball and enjoys going to the gym. Patrick has been working in private practice for close to a decade, specialising in exercise rehabilitation for musculoskeletal conditions, as well as chronic disease management for metabolic & bone thinning conditions. Patrick also has extra training from our Physiotherapy team which gives him the edge over standard Exercise Physiology. This has given him sound knowledge in delivering education & advice for a majority of injuries, as well as prescribing evidence-based exercise rehabilitation throughout different stages and for various conditions.

Patrick’s treatment philosophy is individualised patient-specific progressive exercise-based therapy, in conjunction with improving the way people move in day-day life, in order to help patients reduce pain and/or return to the activities they enjoy most. Patrick also heads up our Guardian Program, offering supervised rehabilitation group classes, together with his own Group Training strength classes, 1-on-1 Exercise Physiology sessions, and online coaching for weight loss.
Bronwyn Uhlhorn
Bronwyn specialises in Neurological patients. Bronwyn is at the forefront of new research into such conditions as Parkinsons, MND and stroke. Her passion for this area is outstanding and she combines it with her experience in both the Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology realms. When it comes to helping patients with neurological deficiencies, passion is essential. Bronwyn brings both passion and determination to helping patients of this type which drives results that are superior to most.
